Rev. James E. Helton, Sr.

January 21, 1933 - December 20, 2015

Rev. James E. Helton, Sr., age 82, of Winder, Georgia passed away December 20, 2015 at his residence. He was born January 21, 1933 in Bethlehem, Georgia to the late Leon and Erma Parr Helton. Rev. Helton was a heavy equipment operator with Local 926 Operating Engineers. He was of the Baptist denomination. Surviving are Wife, Carolyn Burnette Helton, Children, Lisa Kennedy, Ann Greeson, Jimmy Helton and Christina Cook all of Winder, Mark Helton of Bethlehem, Sister, Linda Perry of Winder, Brother, Terry Helton of Bethlehem, Twelve Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 1:00 P. M. from the Chapel of Carter Funeral Home with Rev. Heath Kennedy officiating. Interment will be in Barrow Memorial Gardens. The Family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 P. M. at the funeral home.
