Mrs. Essie Lou Wilkins

January 4, 1917 - April 2, 2015

Mrs. Essie Lou Wilkins, age 98, of Ellijay, Georgia, formerly of Winder, passed away April 2, 2015. A native of Barrow County, she was a daughter of the late Emmett and Martha Mobley Manders. She was preceded by her husband, Rev. Ernest Wilkins. Mrs. Wilkins was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church and was a retiree of Superior Garment Manufacturing Company. Surviving are Daughter, Helen Miller of Ellijay, Grandchildren, Tim (Sandy) Miller of Centennial, Colorado and Barry (Terri) Miller of Jasper, Georgia, Five Great Grandchildren and Two Great Great Grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P. M., Saturday, April 4, 2015 from the Walnut Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Tarr, Rev. Gerald Hudlow and Rev. Frankie Southerland officiating. The remains will be placed in state at the church at 12 Noon Saturday. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends Friday, April 3, 2015 from 5-9 P. M. at the funeral home.
